Dayalbagh-Cradle for the Race of Supermen

The creation of a Race of Supermen was His Holiness Sahabji Maharaj’s great dream in the field nation – building. It was meant to be a race of men far superior to the present species. Huzur Sahabji Maharaj’s idea of Superman was entirely original to Him, having little to do with the pseudo-scientific and semi-farcical imaginings of George Bernard Shaw or the philosophical speculations of his master, Nietzsche. The Superman of Huzur Sahabji Maharaj was a human being with all his spiritual faculties fully awakened and dynamic. One, who with the help of his spiritual powers fully evolved over a period of time, could penetrate through the clouds of unreality, ascend to higher spiritual regions and work from that lofty position on this physical plane. Such a man would be completely at ease living upto the ideal of Better Worldliness through right consciousness and also, keep his eyes open to the things of God and thus attain Omniconsciousness-the ultimate triumph of Spirit over mind and matter.
This race of Supermen was to be evolved from within the Satsang Community for it were the Satsangis who had set spiritual advancement as their goal in life and were prepared to work and make any sacrifices that were necessary for its attainment. It was Param Guru Sahabji Maharaj’s greatest blessing to think of Dayalbagh as the cradle for the Race of Supermen. It was for the training of their generations to come that the Dayalbagh Colony was apparently founded. Dayalbagh therefore, might be regarded as the training ground for a superior race of men and the laws of life laid down by its Revered Leaders as the principles of evolution of such a Race of Supermen.(To be continued… )
